Bus prices

Price details:

The above mentioned bus ticket price includes the crossing for the bus, all passengers incl. driver and/or guide. The ticket prices are excluding CO2 emission and fuel surcharge (BAF), Green Investment Rate (GIR) and if applicable passenger supplement plus Bus Handling Fee in harbor. Except Øresund ticket all other ticket prices are not subject to VAT. The Øresund ticket includes 25% VAT on the partial amount for the Øresund Bridge.

Single crossing & Combination tickets to Sweden:

The price is valid for a single crossing on the booked departure day and time, and all other departures with free capacity on the booked calendar day.

Sweden- and Øresund-tickets are valid for 7 days after the initial Scandlines crossing. You are welcome to take a stopover in Denmark.

12 hours Øresund Return Ticket:

The price is valid for a 12 hours trip performed by the same bus (license plate number) and amount of passengers. The return trip at the Øresund Bridge must take place latest 12 hours after the outbound trip and the Scandlines return trip latest 15 hours after the arrival the outbound trip. All trips need to be performed on the same calendar day. Only available for outbound trips from German ports in connection with Øresund Bridge crossing. Not valid for empty or transfer busses or for line bus services.

1 Day Return ticket & 1 Day Round trip ticket:

The price is valid for a 1 day return trip performed by the same bus and amount of passengers on the same booked calendar day. Not valid for empty or transfer busses or for line bus services.

2 Day Return ticket & 2 Day Round trip ticket:

The price is valid for a 2 day return trip performed by the same bus and amount of passengers. The return trip must take place the day after the outbound trip.

Only available in orange season period for two consecutive days of travel. Not valid for empty or transfer busses or for line bus services.

Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF):

The BAF fuel surcharge is adjusted every 3 months and will be charged per bus and single trip on the routes Puttgarden–Rødby and Rostock–Gedser including Combination tickets to Sweden. In case of rebooking or use of different departure in the port than originally booked, the currently applicable fuel surcharge will be charged. The current fuel surcharge is published on our web page scandlines/bus/surcharges

CO2 emission surcharge:

According to EU regulations (ETS) a new CO2 contribution has to be applied for the entire transport and travel industry from 2024. This surcharge will be calculated per transported vehicle/passenger depending on the share from the entire CO2 load and valid CO2 pricing by ETS. The particular amount may vary by time and will be published and updated on the Scandlines website.

Green Investment Rate:

GIR surcharge will be charged to each ferry crossing on the routes Puttgarden–Rødby and Rostock–Gedser. This also applies to Combination tickets to Sweden. In 2024, the GIR for busses is EUR 7 per single crossing.

Bus Handling Fee:

If you would like to purchase and pay for your bus crossing at the harbor, the ticket will be charged an additional Bus Handling Fee starting at EUR 40 . Registered clients with a valid customer ID book without handling fee.

Supplement for busses with > 60 passengers:

The surcharge applies to each ferry crossing on the routes Puttgarden–Rødby and Rostock–Gedser route, if the number exceeds 60 passengers incl. driver and guide. This also applies to the Combination tickets to Sweden.

In 2024, the surcharge for busses is EUR 55 per single crossing. If the number of passengers changes to less than 61 passengers the Service Center has to be informed according to our booking information (see last page).

Even if the number of passengers is changed on the departure day at check-in and not communicated in advance, the surcharge will remain and will be invoiced.
