Board the ferry on foot

Pedestrian 1-day ticket is the best ticket for those travelling on foot.

Tip: If you want to bring your bicycle, buy a bicycle add-on for your pedestrian 1-day ticket.

Low season: from 05.01.2026–31.05.2026 and 01.09.2026–03.01.2027

*Children (0–13 years) must always travel accompanied by a paying adult.

In Puttgarden:

  • Go to the gangway building.
  • On the 1st floor, scan the ticket you got from customer services on the machine.
  • The machine prints individual tickets for everybody in the group.
  • Go to the entrance of the gangway where each passenger scans their individual ticket.
  • Afterwards, board the ferry directly.

It is important that you are on the gangway at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure.

In Rødby:

  • Go to the gangway building.
  • In the gangway hall, go to the machine and scan the ticket you got from customer services.
  • The machine prints individual tickets for everybody in the group.
  • Afterwards go to the entrance of the gangway where each passenger scans their individual ticket.
  • Then take the stairs up to the gangway, where you board the ferry directly.

It is important that you are on the gangway at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure.

It takes approximately 5-10 minutes to walk from the gangway hall to the gangway, so we recommend you arrive early at the harbour.

Book pedestrian tickets for a minimum of 10 people by contacting customer services no later than 2 hours before scheduled departure.

  • Cancellation is not possible.
  • Rebook by calling customer services. Please note that there is a handling fee of 30 EUR for rebooking via customer service.
  • Go to the gangway building.
  • In the gangway hall, scan your ticket at the entrance to the gangway.
  • Then take the stairs up to the gangway, where you board the ferry directly.
